Payments and Refunds

Effective date: 2026-10-09

This page explains coins, bonus coins, membership, payment methods and refunds on the MiniEpi sites and apps. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Each site charges in its local currency: tw01.miniepi.com in TWD, hk01.miniepi.com in HKD, my01.miniepi.com in MYR, sg01.miniepi.com in SGD, kr01.miniepi.com in KRW, us01.miniepi.com in USD.

1. Coins

  • Coins are virtual credits used to unlock paid episodes. The number of coins an episode costs is shown on the series page; different episodes of the same series may cost differently.
  • Coins are sold in top-up packs; the coins, bonus and price of each pack are those shown on the Store page at the time, tax included. Coins are credited immediately after a successful payment.
  • Coins do not expire but are forfeited when you delete your account. They cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, merged with another account or used on another site.

2. Bonus coins

  • Bonus coins are extra credits granted with top-ups or promotions and work like coins. They are spent first; the "Me" page shows both balances separately.
  • Promotional bonus coins may expire or be limited to certain titles as stated in the promotion. Bonus coins cannot be exchanged for cash and are cancelled when the related top-up is refunded.
  • Packs marked "first top-up" or "limited time" are shown only to eligible accounts; for example a first top-up pack can be bought once by an account that has never topped up.

3. Unlocking and auto-unlock

  • An unlocked episode can be watched repeatedly until it is removed; unlocks are tied to your account.
  • You may turn on "auto-unlock next episode" in the payment dialog: when you reach a paid episode and have enough balance, coins are deducted and playback continues. We ask for your confirmation the first time; you can turn it off in the same place at any time.

4. Membership

Membership is billed daily, weekly, every two weeks, monthly or yearly. Members watch episodes marked "free for members" without coins; unmarked episodes still require coins. Membership renews automatically; cancellation and refunds are described in the Auto-renewal Agreement.

5. Payment methods

  • Web: credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB and others), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Link and local methods of each region (for example JKOPay in Taiwan). The methods actually available are those shown at checkout and may vary by device and region.
  • App: in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play at the price shown by the store; payment, receipts and refunds are handled by the store.
  • Payments are processed by third-party providers on their secure pages; we never store your card number or account password.
  • Your statement may show our name, "XSHORT" or the name of the acquiring merchant.

6. Currency and prices

All prices are in the local currency of the site and include tax. If you pay with an account in another currency, your card issuer may charge conversion or cross-border fees; we do not bear those fees.

7. Receipts and invoices

After a successful payment an electronic receipt is sent to your linked email address; if you have not linked one you can enter it at payment. On the Taiwan site, if you need an invoice with a business tax ID, enter it in "Me → Account" or contact support; we issue e-invoices as required by Taiwan tax law where applicable. Receipts for in-app purchases are sent by the app store.

8. Refunds

  • Coins, single-episode unlocks and membership are digital content or online services completed on delivery; with your consent before payment, local law excludes any unconditional withdrawal or cooling-off period. We still provide the following.
  • Top-up refunds: within seven days of payment you may request a refund of that top-up. The refundable amount is "amount paid × (paid coins − coins used from that top-up) ÷ paid coins", rounded down to the unit of currency; if the coins used reach or exceed the paid coins, no refund is due. Coins are attributed to top-ups on a first-in, first-used basis; after the refund the remaining coins and bonus coins of that top-up are withdrawn.
  • Unlocked episodes: the service is complete once unlocked and is not refundable, except that if an episode cannot be played for a reason on our side that we cannot fix, the coins deducted for it are returned.
  • Membership: see the Auto-renewal Agreement.
  • Duplicate charges or system errors: the overcharged amount is refunded in full once verified.
  • In-app purchases: request refunds from the Apple App Store or Google Play under their rules; after a store refund the related coins or membership are withdrawn, and coins already spent are deducted as a negative balance that must be settled before further unlocks.
  • Refunds always go back to the original payment method and usually arrive within five to ten business days depending on the provider and issuer. Send refund requests to support@miniepi.com with your order number and reason; we reply within seven business days.

9. Minors

Users below the local age of majority need a legal guardian's consent before topping up or subscribing. A guardian who has concerns about a minor's purchase should contact support as soon as possible after payment.

10. Changes to prices and promotions

We may change packs, prices, bonus ratios and promotions; completed transactions are not affected. Where a promotion states its own rules, those rules apply.

11. Regional notes

  • Taiwan: under Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act and Article 2(5) of the Reasonable Exceptions to the Right of Rescission in Distance Transactions, digital content and online services completed on delivery are excluded from the seven-day unconditional rescission once the consumer has agreed before payment.
  • Korea: under Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce a consumer may withdraw within seven days, except, under paragraph 2 of that article, for digital content whose supply has begun with the consumer's consent. Unused top-ups are refunded under the rule above.
  • Japan: the notice required by the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions is the Japanese version of the Transaction Terms page; coins are a prepaid payment instrument under the Payment Services Act, and the notice that Act requires is the Japanese version of this page.
